The women are selected on the basis of SSC (Short Service Commission) in the Indian Navy, which clearly states that the female candidate can serve only for 10-14 years duration.   • Logistics Cadre:
  • Candidate must be a BE/BTech graduate in any discipline with first class.

  • The candidate who has done BSc/BCom with first-class and PG in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/ Material Management can also apply.

  • MCA/MSc (IT) candidates with first-class can also apply.

  • Work:
  • Candidate must be a BE/BTech graduate in Civil/B. Architects can apply.

  • Catering:

  • Candidate must be BSc or BA with first class.

  • MSc (HM)/MBA(HM) candidates with first-class can also apply.

  • The age limit for the female candidates to apply through this entry is 19 to 24 years. The female aspirants who have CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) have an age limit of 19-25 years to apply through this entry.

  • Notification regarding the exam is prompted twice in a year, around March and October.

  • The candidates who aspire to join the Indian Navy are required to be BE/BTech graduate with Physics and Maths in their 10+2.

  •   Law Entry:
  • The age limit for the female candidates to apply through this entry is 22 to 27 years.

  • Notification regarding the exam is prompted only when there are vacancies.

  • The candidates who aspire to join the Indian Navy through this category are required to be Law Graduates under the Advocate Act 1961.

 Education Branch:

  • The age limit for the female candidates to apply through this entry is 21 to 25 years.

  • Notification regarding the exam is prompted only once every year in April.

  • The candidates must have a Master’s degree from a recognized university in Physics, Maths, Chemistry, English, Computer Science or Computer Application. Having a master’s degree in the mentioned subjects is mandatory. Post Graduates in Economics/History/Political Science are also eligible to apply. A degree holder in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science and Technology is eligible.

 Engineering Branch:

This branch has two subcategories:

  •  Naval Architecture:
  • The age limit for the female candidates to apply through this entry is 19.5 to 25 years.

  • Notification regarding the exam is prompted only once every year in November.

  • Only the aspirants with a minimum of 60Q% marks in BE/BTech degree in the field of Mechanical/Civil/Aeronautical Engineering, Metallurgy, and Naval Architect can apply.

  • Naval Armament Inspector: This is the NAI Entry.
